Disclaimer
I sometimes use various seals and flags of the Philippines. These are for decoration and informational purposes only. I do not in anyway imply official relation to government, formal or informal.
This site should be considered editorial in nature. That is the site is mostly opinion. I am American that has made my home in the Philippines and have set a goal to become as Filipino like as I can. I am learning, a process that is unlikely to end. I spent 49 years in the USA and I do love the USA but several factors have made the Philippines a better choice for me. Since I’m learning and since I cover subjects that are very complex, I might be wrong.
The site is a guide and you should use it as such. Any information here should be verified by a professional in that industry.
I use several sites for information. Some of those that I visit on a regular bases are Google News, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The New York Times, NPR podcast, Google Finance, and The Inquirer. I also read local papers, usually The Freeman and Cebu Daily News. I also watch ANC TV news, a 24 hour local TV News channel.
More importantly, I get out and associate with Filipino as much as I possibly can. I like to explore every location I can get myself too.
Sometimes my opinion and views change.

Rusty,
I promised you some info on natural healing to help you deal with your Lupus. My wife did the research, as that is one of her specialties.
Here are the links she came up with. Based on my own experience with her knowledge and judgment. I would strongly recommend trying this stuff.
If you have any questions, I can most likely get answers!

hi Rusty:
this is German born, American, now living in Italy and the US, Joe.
confusing. I know. sorry
first of all. you have a impressive web site! not to mention
a impressive wife. regards.
I am early 40th, was in a relationship almost 20 years. most times were
wonderful. then she wanted to start a new life with someone else.
so now i have to draw a line and leave my old life behind.
also I would like to get out of money based western society and live life again. less is more. your web site gives me hope that this is possible. here in Italy it is going in the right direction.
BUT finding a soulmate like they exist in the Philippines seems to be impossible. I plan on visiting there. but not sure if this is a good idea. just by myself, not nowing anything, far away from home and what if nothing is working out?
it’s possible to find contacts on craigslist. but …. ??? exactly!
any suggestions or advice you can give me?
it would be possible for me to go there between end of december and february.
thanx in advance. and I hope your hand is better now.
hey, enjoy what you have, it looks awesome!
take care
salamat
Joe
Hi Joe and Welcome.
Thanks for the kind words.
I think Tagged.com and Date In Asia are the best free places to connect with Filipina. You’ll likely be covered up in them. In Tagged, use the Meet Me function and set the location to the Philippines. Since you’ve looked around, or I think you have, you should know the water is full of sharks. One in ten will be a possible keeper.
You really need my eBook too. You’re well traveled some of the shock that some of us go through may not apply to you. However, approaching women is different here. I need to update that and one oher area of the book. When I wrote it, one could barely use a Western based credit card here. I just quit trying but now it seems it is not hard at all. Just from what others have told me. Wasn’t that way when I got here.
Again, I appreciate the comments. Lately, I’ve been covered up in trolls. Everyone tells me they are jealous. They usually live in the states yet think they have all the answers about the Philippines. Funny, I’ve been living here every day for nearly four years and I don’t have all the answers. However, I have lots of opinions. True, opinions solidly based in experience. After six months of living here, only then did I begin to feel like I was getting a grasp of what is going on. And it was a grasp only. Still, I’m amazed at how some of these women can completely fool me. Some of them are very good.
The only reason I think someone should be jealous of me is because I have the right mindset to make it happen. Equally important is a positive outlook, which I USUALLY have to be happy. There is good and bad in everything.
All relationships have problems, even the ones here. Or maybe I’m just the problem haha. I’m sure I am. We humans are a mess.
Hi Rusty:

Thanx for your reply. I appreciate it very much!
Hey, if you need help in Italy. Let me know
I now I gonna need your book. As soon as I have returned to the States
November/December, I’ll get to that.
Sorry for all the trolls bothering you. I know and experienced, the www
is full of cyber heroes.
The Dating sites are great! I have already checked out DateInAsia. Wow, there’s lots of woman. If I do the math, as you have said, one out of ten… oh my gosh. That should keep me busy for a while
You are absolutely right. Pretty much everywhere, we humans are foreigners and most time simply don’t understand other mentalities. But if we are able to adapt, then a life out of experiences should be livable.
Well. Rather street smart then book smart. My motto
Keep on being happy!
Joe:-)
Unhappy times will come, but they will be replaced by happy ones. i always find a way to enjoy life. The Philippines makes it easy.
Stay in touch. Aww trolls, they go into ignore…..
