Jail Break In Bogo
One Man Killed During Recapture
A few days ago several young men busted out of the Bogo City Jail here in Norther Cebu Province of the Philippines. The jailer was said to be watching TV and was away from the jail when the men broke out. There are varying account from four to eight men.
They sawed their way through the bars and apparently ended up in San Remigo, a town about 17Km north of Bogo City. All were recaptured by Tuesday but one of them ended up dead. The officer that apprehended him stated that the prisoner shot at him and the officer then returned fire killing the 18 year old. Reports are that the rest of those that escaped here minors.

Typhoon Hits Cebu Without Warning
Yesterday morning I woke up to a storm and the lights going out. I thought, this looks like a typhoon coming in. I’ve only seen one but the weather just looked different enough that it was not your normal monsoon. Since it has been a drier monsoon season than normal, I reasoned that this is what we should have been getting all along.
To be safe, I asked Jessie to send one of the helpers out to get a newspaper. I thought if there was a storm coming in, we needed to know and could get the information from the paper. While she was out, banana bushes begun to topple and even tress where coming down. The wind was not equal to that of Typhoon Frank but Frank was a major storm. Quinta was likely a category one, though I don’t know.

Pizza Pub in Bog City Can’t Get it Right!
i have enjoyed going to The PIzza Pub in Bogo City since we moved to Bogo. Everything has gone fine until our last two visits. The selection they offer is pretty limited. They have a supreme pizza and we always order it without bell peppers and mushrooms.
Bogo Brown Out Revisited
Another Day without Electricity
Jessie’s reasoning seemed sound and we both thought they would brown out Bogo City last Sunday. They didn’t but they were right on time today. I guess they are going to do it once per month but trying to figure out which month doesn’t seem to have a pattern. Tomorrow Jessie is going to call and ask how we can find out when they will turn the power off in Bogo City.
