Bus Fares Slashed In Cebu, Phillippines
Fly For Free with Cebu Pacific
Upstart budget airlines brings back fly for free!
Wow, Fly without fairs!
BUDGET carrier Cebu Pacific, which booked a net loss in the first half of 2008, is bringing back its zero-fare promo for flights to 12 Asian cities.
But the zero fares are exclusive of taxes and applicable surcharges. The surcharges are $46 to $90 depending on the destination.
Candice Iyog, the company’s vice president for marketing and products, said more than 35,000 seats would be offered.
The seats may be booked online beginning today until Aug. 27, and for travel from Sept. 16 to Dec. 17.
Bus Prices Soar in Cebu Philippines
I knew bus prices were going to rise in the province of Cebu, Philippines but I didn’t expect them to double. Instead of the 60 peso per person the fee has risen to 120 peso per person when traveling from Cebu City to Bogo City. I’m told that Bogo is 120Km from Cebu City.

Experience Cebu by Bus
I am amazed at how many buses there are traveling from Cebu City to Bogo City everyday. There must be over a hundred each day. Going on my walk I often see three or four. The best thing to do is get one that has limited stops, that can cut the time of your trip down quite a bit but you should expect a two hour trip give or take 30 minutes. Also if you leave from Cebu City North Terminal near the rush hour 7am to 9am you might just add an hour to your trip.

Kid’s On The Beach
The place was pretty much a “lean to.” That is it leaned up against the other buildings surrounding it. It had a tin roof. The front opened to the road, the rear opened to the sea. At the rear were a lot of children enjoying their summer break.
Bus Fees to Rise in Cebu
It seems that two years ago, the government approved a rate increase for bus drivers that was never implemented. The rate increase was granted but there was an agreement with the Cebu Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia that buses using the Cebu South Bus Terminal could only charge 1 peso per Kilometer. Also keeping fares lower was that the line Ceres was charging less than 1 peso.
