A 29 year old Filipina (Loricar Macapaz) went out to wait for her husband to come home from work and while her two daughter sat next to her, a multicab driver fell to sleep and ran off the road killing her instantly. Her daughters were not seriously injured.
Police believe that the driver (Allan Alegado) fell to sleep as it was 1am in the morning. He was headed to Bogo when he ran off the road and smashed into the bamboo fence the young woman and her daughters were sitting on.
Alegado, who is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, was detained at the Bogo police station.
