so true! In a small city everyone knows everyone and people can’t stop talking about other people. Sometimes this is so frustrating and annoying.

  2. Paul, alive and well.

I’m dead? Well, I hope someone remembers to bury me. :D

Paul, now living in Carcar, Cebu.

    Rusty,
I think discussing rumors & gossip is a form of recreation in many neighborhoods and barrios. One of the most popular segments of local TV & radio shows is the
“Chika Minute” and I have seen people literally stop what they are doing in order to prevent missing any of that segment!

Yes, its the “gossip” minute. My wife tells me the word (cause I can’t find it in any of our Tagolog-English dictionaries) might be Visayan or Cebuano slang.

And your right, all the movies and shows are the drama, crying, and happy ending script. A good Filipino actress
MUST be able to “cry on demand” I guess– Many actors too!

Hey Rusty, How”s it going there in Bogo. Yeah, I might be coming there soon. I’m sure if I do then I’ll see you there. Take care, Jerry Smith
